To
get a broad overview of the cultural importance of the plants
and the cultural context of their uses, anthropological methods
were applied:
- Participant
observation
- Open-ended
and semi-structured interviews
- Visual
documentation (photo and video)
All local
plant names as well as names of rituals, objects, geographical
places etc. were recorded on tape.
